Finaly we have a clear space to work and build from, it is important that I rake the sand out evenly before laying down the 3 cubic yards of pea gravel being delivered by my partner.

Next pull all the weeds, and rake the sand thoroughly and evenly so that the pea rock can be laid.

Starting out with a cluttered, sandy lot with tons of weeds to pull; My first task is cleaning and clearing the clutter.

After I finished clearing the area, the truck arrived to deliver the 3 Cubic Yards of Pea Rock which will be used as the base to cover the ground in the garden.

I had to be very conscious of our truck dumped the rocks, in my case he was able to pull up right next to the fence and dump them there. I used my cart to move them, I placed inside so the small rocks wouldn't fall through the grated metal. Then spread the pea rock evenly across the floor to the garden using a shovel and 2 sizes of rakes.

These are our round stepping stones, engraved with calligraphy .

Since the floor of the garden is white, I am going to spray paint them black for contrast.

Covered the engraved calligraphy with painters taper so it pops more

Now we will assemble the metal shelves and front gate. Once the front gate is complete we will paint it black to match the rest of the garden. Now our garden is starting to take shape.
